Lily was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in June 2013 at the age of 8. She was treated in the Low-Risk protocol after nearly 2.5 years and completed treatment on August 30, 2015. Prior to completion of her treatment, however, her twin sister, Bailey would be diagnosed with the same cancer. Now that she is five years post-diagnosis, she is seen for checkups at the Next Steps Survivorship clinic at Children’s Wisconsin.

Lily is now a freshman at West Bend West High School. She enjoys horseback riding, being with friends, having some quiet time, and recently started trying out tennis. Lily absolutely loves attending Camp One Step multiple times a year. Though she doesn’t have any idea what she was to “be” when she grows up, she has a great perspective and will quietly make the world a better place.
